The Cabinet has extended the date of exemption in stamp duty and fee for land-property registration

Giving a big relief to the people of Punjab, the Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today extended the deadline for giving 2.25 percent discount in stamp duty and fee charged on registration of land and property till May 15. has given The decision in this regard was taken during the meeting of the Cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister at the local Circuit House.

Expressing this, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that in the larger public interest, the Cabinet has approved a 2.25 percent discount in stamp duty and fees for those who have registered land/property till May 15.

One percent additional stamp duty, one percent PIDB will be charged to the registrants. Fee and 0.25 per cent special fee will be exempted. It may be mentioned that the state government had first implemented this scheme till 31st March and after receiving huge response from the people, it was extended till 30th April and now this date has been extended till 15th May.
