PM Modi will inaugurate ‘India Energy Week 2023’ today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘India Energy Week’ in Bangalore today. While giving information in this regard, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave information about his program by tweeting yesterday, that is, on Sunday.

He said that ‘India Energy Week’ is being organized from 6 to 8 February. Here he will participate in several programmes, including the launch of the much awaited scheme E-20. It aims to showcase India’s growing power as an energy transforming superpower.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the event will bring together leaders from conventional and unconventional energy industries, government and academia to discuss those challenges and opportunities. More than 30 ministers from around the world will participate in it.

More than 30,000 delegates, 1000 exhibitors and 500 speakers will gather to discuss the same. During the event, the Prime Minister will participate in an interaction with the CEO of Global Oil and Oil. The Prime Minister will also flag off the Green Mobility Rally. This rally will help create awareness among people for green energy.

The Prime Minister will also launch the uniform under Indian Oil’s ‘Unbottled’ initiative. Indian Oil has adopted recycled polyester (RPET) and cotton uniforms for LPG delivery men with an aim to eliminate single-use plastics. Modi will launch E-20, an ethanol-blended fuel. About Rs 81,800 crore has been paid for ethanol supply from 2014 to 2022 and over Rs 49,000 crore has been transferred to farmers.

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch E20 fuel at 84 retail outlets of oil marketing companies in 11 states/UTs. E20 is a blend of 20 percent ethanol with gasoline. The government aims to achieve a 20 percent ethanol blend by 2025, and oil marketing companies are setting up 2G-3G ethanol plants that will facilitate progress.
