Bureau Report: The NIA, investigating the March 2023 attack on the Indian Embassy in San Francisco, USA, has released the photographs of 10 accused. NIA has sought information from the general public about the accused. The agency has issued three separate notices for identification and information against them.
The NIA, while releasing the pictures, said that there is no important information about them that can lead to the arrest of the accused. It should be shared with NIA as soon as possible. For this, NIA has also released phone numbers and e-mail IDs. The agency has promised not to reveal the identity of any person who shared information about the accused.

The attack took place on the night of March 18-19
The attack on the Indian Embassy in San Francisco took place on the midnight of 18 and 19 March 2023. Some Khalistani supporters entered the embassy and then tried to set it on fire. On the same day, sloganeering Khalisani supporters broke the security arrangements made by the police and planted Khalistan flags in the embassy. Not only these, the building of the embassy was also damaged. The officials of the embassy were also injured in this attack. Apart from this, on the midnight of July 1 and 2, some of the accused entered the embassy and tried to set it on fire.
NIA registered the case on June 16
NIA has started investigation after registering a case under Section 109,120-B, 147, 148,149, 323,436,448 and 452 of IPC, Section 13 of UA(P) on 16 June 2023. An NIA team visited San Francisco in August.
