Giving information about this, the father of the victim, Jobanpreet Singh, Balkar Singh and aunt Baljinder Kaur said that they also have the video of giving money to the agent, but instead of sending our son to Italy, the agent trapped him with an agent in Libya. Who beat up our son Jobanpreet Singh and sent us his video and threatened us with six lakh rupees, which we gave him, but for the last eight days we have not had any contact with our son.
The victim’s family said that we had lodged a complaint with the police against the agent four months ago, but no action was taken by the police. Meanwhile, the family is in a bad situation. Now they are demanding from Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that their child should be brought back to Punjab home safely and strict action should be taken against such fraudulent agents.
Also, the villagers and farmers leaders Ajit Singh Leel Kalan and Sarpanch Gurnam Singh appealed that action should be taken against the relevant travel agent. He said that if this matter is not resolved soon, then he will fight forcefully.
