Terrible road accident in Ludhiana, car driver died on the spot

A car and a trolley collided on the road from Doraha to Ropar canal in Samrala of Ludhiana district. The impact was so strong that the trolley rolled over the car. In the accident, the roof of the car along with the skull of the driver fell 10 feet away. The driver died on the spot. After the accident, the trolley driver escaped from the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Gurwinder Singh (28), a resident of Muskabad village in Samrala. Gurvinder Singh had gone to Doraha for his personal work. He was returning to the village in the car. While overtaking, the trolley driver coming from the front near Palmajra rammed the trolley directly on the car of Gurwinder Singh. The trolley driver was trying to overtake a vehicle.

Village sarpanch Malvinder Singh said that Gurvinder Singh used to work in property in Mohali. Gurvinder Singh got married about 3 years ago. She has a 2-year-old daughter. This accident took away the happiness of the family. The father’s shadow rose from the girl’s head.

Giving information about the case, ASI Harjinder Singh said that the trolley driver has been identified as Balwant Chand, a resident of Jammu. He said that the trolley driver is absconding from the spot since the incident. Currently, his trolley has been seized. The ASI said that the accused would be arrested soon.
