12 people died in a collision between a bus and a truck in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur on Wednesday morning. Along with this, more than 12 people have been injured. According to the police and the administration, the death toll may increase. More than 57 people were traveling in the bus.

The accident took place at 5:30 am near Hantara on Agra-Jaipur National Highway-21 in Lakhanpur police station area. Among the dead were 7 women and 5 men. All the deceased were residents of Bhavnagar in Gujarat.

According to the police, the bus was going from Bhavnagar to Haridwar via Mathura. In the morning, the diesel pipe of the bus suddenly exploded on the Bharatpur-Agra highway. About 10-12 passengers including the driver got off the bus.

The driver and his partner repaired the pipe and went to get diesel. Then a speeding truck hit the bus and proceeded, crushing the people standing nearby.

Meanwhile, the drivers of other vehicles passing by saw the unconscious people on the road and called the police and called an ambulance. The dead bodies of all have been kept in the mortuary of Bharatpur District Hospital.

After the accident, the bodies were scattered on the highway. The people present there removed each body from the middle of the road and kept it aside. Along with this, the highway got jammed. The police said that it is not yet known with which vehicle the collision took place. The condition of the injured remains critical. He will be interrogated when he regains consciousness.
