Mumbai: Today is the birthday of former External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj. She was a strong speaker of Hindi. Sushma Swaraj was born on 14 February 1952 in Ambala Cantonment of Haryana (then Punjab) state. His father was associated with RSS. That’s why the feeling of patriotism was in him since childhood. She was also the chairperson of BJP’s 19-member election-campaign-committee for the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. He also worked as an advocate for some time in the Supreme Court. He was married to Swaraj Kaushal on 13 July 1975. Who was his colleague and fellow advocate in the Supreme Court. Kaushal later served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha for six years, and in addition served as the Governor of Mizoram.

Born in Ambala Cantonment, Sushma Swaraj obtained BA from SD College Ambala Cantonment and law degree from Panjab University Chandigarh. After completing his studies, he first actively participated in Jayaprakash Narayan’s movement. After strongly opposing the Emergency, she joined active politics. In the year 2014, she got the opportunity to be the first woman foreign minister of India.

The achievement of becoming the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi and the first woman spokesperson of any political party in the country is also in her name. She was adjudged the best NCC cadet of SD College Cantonment for three consecutive years and also the best Hindi speaker of the state for three years. The family is of Pakistani origin
He was born in Ambala Cantonment to Hardev Sharma and Lakshmi Devi. His father was a prominent member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Swaraj’s family was originally from the Dharampura area of Lahore, which is now in Pakistan. He graduated in Sanskrit and Political Science from Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala. In 1970, she was awarded the best student award in her college.
