Sunil Jakhar, the new president of the Punjab BJP, has faced opposition from the people. In fact, they had arrived in Ferozepur to take stock of the flood-affected areas, where the people have protested against Sunil Jakhar due to the non-availability of relief materials. Due to which Sunil Jakhar had to turn back.
There, Jakhar says that the Hon’ble government has not taken the essence of these people, due to which they have become angry. He said that due to the negligence of the government, this situation has happened in Punjab today. He said that the ministers and MLAs of the Hon’ble government come only to take photographs and not to help the people.
Jakhar said that the lands of the farmers have not come in their names, how will their Gurdori be and how will those people get compensation? Due to which people are angry. People said send us to Pakistan, flood affected people said we are so upset, no one is taking care of us and border is ahead, all leaders go back past this place.
Sunil Jakhar said that 218.40 crore rupees have been sent to Punjab by the central government. He alleged that despite the huge help from the Centre, the Chief Minister is giving a statement that he will not take any help from the Centre. Sunil Jakhar said that while showing generosity towards Punjab, the central government has not yet asked the government for the list of painting funds but has said that it should do good to the people of Punjab. He said that the government has helped from its side, now only time will tell where the state government spends this money.
