On November 1, a debate is going to be held between Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Due to which, Ludhiana Punjab Agricultural University has been transferred to the police cantonment. Today, along with the Ludhiana city police, the police party from the rural area was also invited in Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium of PAU. , DCP, SSP, ADCP, ACP were present in the meeting. The Punjab government has extended an open invitation to the people of the state for an open debate between Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and all other political parties to be held at Ludhiana on November 1. CM Mann has named this debate Main Punjab Bolda Haan. Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has been booked by Punjab Government for this debate. The seating capacity of this auditorium is around 1000 people.
Strict security arrangements have been made in the city of Ludhiana in view of the participation of the Chief Minister and all the ministers in addition to the senior leaders of the opposition in the debate. According to sources, the auditorium can seat 1000 people but only 800 people can be accommodated due to the presence of many VVIPs.
At the government level, apart from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, only Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal and Punjab BJP It is reported that President Sunil Jakhar will be seated on the stage in the auditorium.
On the other hand, in order to complete the arrangements related to the debate and maintain the security arrangements, all the top officials of the government have camped in Ludhiana itself. Roads leading to PAU are being barricaded. However, the government does not want any kind of stricture to be done to stop the people. In such a situation, the officers are worried that if a crowd other than the supporters accompanying the VVIPs gathers, there may be a shortage in the arrangements.
Special DGP Arpit Shukla has been holding continuous meetings with officials in Ludhiana since Monday. A large number of police forces have also been deployed in the city.
The announcement of the unions increased the tension
In fact, various employee unions and groups agitating against the Punjab government regarding their demands have also announced their opposition to the government by reaching this debate. In such a situation, police and administration officials do not want these unions to create any kind of obstacle in the debate.

The opposition parties are also trying to make an issue of Ludhiana Police Commissioner Mandeep Singh Sidhu going on leave just before such an important invitation. Mandeep Singh Sidhu is on leave on October 31 and November 1. Sidhu himself has said that he had already applied for this leave due to family work. In his absence, Ropar Range IG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar is handling all the security arrangements regarding the debate.
