The areas which received heavy rain include Baldi Town, Orangi Town, North Karachi, Surjani Town, Gulshan-e-Mymar, Orangi Town, Bahria Town, Sadar, North Nazimabad, Tower, Liaqatabad and Nazimabad.

According to reports, several roads in the city were inundated with water and commuters were trapped in their vehicles as the city administration did not take any measures to deal with the downpour despite the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) warning of heavy rain a day earlier. had predicted Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has warned people not to go out unless necessary, looking at the situation in the city after heavy rains.
