Patiala: Speaking here today, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that government institutions have been asked to pay the outstanding electricity bills. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was talking to the Engineer of Electricity Board here today. The Chief Minister said that solar panels will be installed on the government institutions of Punjab.

He said that there has been no power cuts in Punjab. He said that an awareness campaign will be conducted to prevent electricity theft in Punjab. He said that according to the new electricity bill 2020, the electricity board is being privatized.

He said that we will not allow privatization of electricity. He said that electricity board has a big contribution for the development of the country. He said that the BJP government at the center is engaged in giving benefits to only one person, we will strongly oppose this. He said that there should be strong opposition to it. He said that the government’s job is to provide facilities. He said that permanent employees will be recruited in Punjab in the near future. We want to delete the word crude. He said that all the work is being done in favor of Punjab.

He said that we are organizing the event of Invas Punjab. He said that I myself went and met. He said that when industries used to come, then they had to do an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with a family, now they will do an MoU with the people of Punjab.
