Six people in an SUV were killed and eight injured in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh. The people in the SUV were going from Ludhiana to attend the public meeting.
An SUV met with an accident on National Highway 730 in Ekauna of Uttar Pradesh’s Sharavasti district on Saturday, police said. Due to which six people in the vehicle died and eight were seriously injured.
Sharavasti Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh said that 14 people were traveling in the car at the time of the incident and 6 of them died on the spot. He said that eight injured have been referred to Bahraich District Hospital. The vehicle hit a tree in Ekuna police station area.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the loss of life in this accident. According to a press release, the Chief Minister has expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members while wishing peace to the departed soul.
The Chief Minister has directed the officials of the district administration to take the injured to the hospital for immediate treatment and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
