Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, has termed the decision taken by Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann to sound 'Matmi Bigal' on 27th December during the martyrdom day of the tenth Patshahji's Sahibzades against Gurmat Marayada.

Advocate Dhami said that the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, is not a sign of mourning or grief, but a symbol of progress. By deciding to sacrifice themselves for the sake of right, truth and religion, the Sahibzades took a unique and unique step in the religious history of the world. Though the age of the Sahibzades was young, but their determination towards Sikhism was not less than their old age.

Shiromani Committee President said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should not ignore the spirit of Sikh history and principles. He said that history is a witness to the fact that following the footsteps of the fifth Patshah Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and the ninth Patshah Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji, Sahibzades gave martyrdom.

The tenth Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji also gave a message of progress to the nation by singing hymns on the occasion of the martyrdom of the great Sahibzades. He said that the Sahibzades gave a big challenge to the Mughal rulers without caring about greed and fear. Advocate Dhami said that the martyrs of Sikh history are a source of inspiration for the nation, and the nation gains strength and leadership by remembering them in daily prayers.

The Shiromani Committee President said that the Chief Minister's raising of these martyrdoms as an incident of grief and mourning is not at all in accordance with Sikh history and Gurmat tradition. The decision of Mr. Bhagwant Mann is about to redeem the martyrdom of the Sahibzades. He appealed to the Chief Minister to show reverence and respect to the Sahibzades in the light of Sikh history, and not to forget to start any new ritual against the spirit of Gurmat.
