The Vigilance Bureau caught the senior assistant of the Cooperative Department taking bribe


Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested Senior Assistant Rajinder Singh red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs.
Giving information in this regard, the official spokesperson of the State Vigilance Bureau said that the above accused employee Rajinder Singh, a resident of Garden Colony, Kharar, was the complainant Jaspal Singh.

A resident of village Bagindi, Tehsil Kharar has been arrested based on a complaint lodged by him who is working as a secretary in the milk collection society of village Siunk, Tehsil Kharr.

He further said that the complainant approached the Vigilance Bureau and alleged that the said accused Rajinder Singh was demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 in exchange for clearing the file related to the election of the said milk collection society of village Siunk, which is being discussed in his office.

The spokesman further said that the flying squad unit of the Vigilance Bureau laid a trap after the initial investigation of the complaint and arrested the said accused employee on the spot after taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses.

He said that in this regard, against the said employee, police station Udan Dasta-1, Punjab, S.A.S. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered in the city and further investigation into the matter is on.
