During the BJP’s rally at Tijara in Rajasthan, protests are increasing in Punjab over the statement that the Gurudwaras were uprooted when the government came. After SGPC, now Jathedar Singh Sahib of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh has also registered his protest. Giani Harpreet Singh said during the press conference in Amritsar that the statement of uprooting the Gurdwaras during the BJP rally in Rajasthan is highly condemnable.
He said that when this statement was made in this BJP rally, at that time UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also sitting on the stage. It was their responsibility to oppose such hate speech at the same time and from the same platform. But it is sad that despite being the Chief Minister of a state, he has become a part of this phenomenon. He said that history is a witness that Congress also attacked Gurdhams under its anti-Sikh ideology and now BJP is also seen to be following the same path.

Giani Harpreet Singh further said that Rais had written a letter to the Shiromani Committee Center regarding the incident and lodged a protest against the matter. Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi should also apologize for this matter. He said that if there were no Gurdwara Sahib, North India would have been Muslim. He said that due to mutual disunity, the Sikhs are not getting justice. Conspiracies are being made to weaken the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the mini-parliament of the Sikhs.
Let us tell you that earlier Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has also registered its protest on this statement. A video of the statement being given in the rally by SGPC has also been released in which Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also seen sitting on the stage.
The Shiromani Committee has demanded an apology from the Sikhs from the BJP leaders who gave a statement, the BJP leaders who held the rally and Yogi Adityanath in this whole matter.
