Incidents of theft happen on a daily basis, but a unique incident has taken place in Samana area, where a PRTC bus was stolen. It is being told that a drug addict took the bus 8 km away to the village of Daudra and parked it near the village and slept in it. When the villagers saw the bus standing, they informed the police about it. The accused says that he had drunk alcohol and did not realize it. Because of which he did this while eating and drinking.
According to the information received, when the driver and conductor were not inside the bus, the accused took advantage of this and took the bus away. This bus runs on Samana to Talwandi Malik route. The driver of the bus said that for the last 5 years, he used to park this bus at village Talwandi Malik and go home.
Regarding this incident, Sadar police station Samana officer Gurdev Singh said that the PRTC bus was stolen from Talwandi Malik and was recovered from Daudra village. One person has been arrested in this case.
