Rupnagar: Two youth drowned in Bhakra, divers continue to search

The news is coming from Rupnagar that two youths have been swept away in the canal. According to information, 2 youths from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh drowned in Bhakra Canal.

Investigating officer Dharam Chand said that 3 youths from Kharar had come to this area for sightseeing. They started taking photos with mobile phones on the banks of Bhakra canal near Rangilpur village. Meanwhile, a young man went to wash his hands and fell into the canal. When the other youth tried to save him, he was also swept away by the strong current of water.

The youth is said to be a resident of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh and was employed in a private company in Kharar.

The youths have been identified as Sumit aged 27 years resident of Basla, Post Office Rohdu, Shimla and Baraz aged 32 years. It is being told that a young man named Baraj came to his friends at Kharar recently and today they went out for a walk.

The relatives of the youth have been informed by the police. Along with this, every aspect is being investigated.
