Road Accident in Nawanshahr , Died

Nawanshahr : The trolley of pilgrims from Nawanshahr who were going to pay obeisance at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the abode of Guru Ravidas Ji, fell into a 100 feet deep gorge. In this accident, 3 women died on the spot, while 34 people were injured. All were taken to Health Center Bathri under District Una of Himachal Pradesh, from where some have been referred to Nawanshahr.

According to the information, the devotees were going to offer their prayers from Paragpur and Mubarakpur villages of Nawanshahr, but on the way, the trolley went out of control near village Bassi and fell into a deep gorge. Three women Bhupinder Kaur resident of Mubarakpur, Sukhpreet Kaur and Mahinder Kaur resident of Paragpur died on the spot after being crushed under the trolley. Three of the 34 injured who came to Civil Hospital Nawanshahr from Bathari in Himachal have been referred to PGI as their condition is critical.

In the remaining 31 injured, Gopal Ram and Sarabjit Singh of Khuralgarh, Ranjit Singh and Harbilas of Garhi Matto, Thana Garhshankar, Samar, Tanveer Singh, Parminder Kaur, Arvinder Kumar, Kamaljit Singh, Satnam Singh, Mohan Lal, Poonam, Seema Rani, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Hardeep Kaur, Kulveer Singh, Navpreet, Sunita, Parminder Kaur, Praneet, Chaman Lal, Babita and Ram Pal of Paragpur (Nawanshahr), Harpreet Kaur and Jatin of Mattan Khurd, Prem Chand, Paramvir Singh and Shadi Ram of S. Mubarakpur, police station Kathgarh, district Nawanshahr, resident Baljit Kaur and Kuldeep Kaur resident of Ganu Majra (Ropar) are undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital Nawanshahr.
