The Meteorological Department has made a prediction regarding the drop in temperature in Punjab

The temperature was dropping for the last few days, but suddenly the weather changed its mood on Saturday and strong winds started blowing. After which moms got cold. Yellow Alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Punjab till May 3.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the temperature may drop by 3 to 5 degrees. During the alert, strong winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 km in most parts of the state from May 1 to 3. Along with this, there will be rain and hail.

After the rain on Saturday, the temperature in the state dropped by 1.4 degrees, which was 3.7 degrees below the normal. In Punjab, Hoshiarpur recorded the highest temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius, while Amritsar recorded the maximum temperature of 36.1 degrees, Ludhiana 35.8, Patiala 34.7, Faridkot 33.5 degrees Celsius.

In this regard, according to Manmohan Singh, director of the Chandigarh Center of the Meteorological Department, the effect of the new western disturbance coming from May 1 is likely to last till May 5. He said that its effect will remain till May 3. After this, light to moderate rain may occur at some places in Punjab on the next two days i.e. 4th and 5th May.
