Relief to Mika Singh in the case of 'kissing' Rakhi Sawant

2006 Mika Singh and Rakhi Sawant’ ‘Kissing’ Case: Rakhi Sawant was embroiled in a legal dispute for several years in the case of her brother Mika Singh’s forced kiss. Now finally the decision of the Bombay High Court has come on this matter, in which Mika Singh has got a big relief. This case registered in the year 2006 has been dismissed by the Bombay High Court on Thursday.

Case settlement out of court

Justice A. S. Gadkari and Justice S. Yes, Digge’s bench has rejected the FIR and charge sheet in this case after taking cognizance of Rakhi’s affidavit. Rakhi had said in this affidavit that she and Mika Singh had settled the matter amicably outside the court.

This kissing case is from 2006

Let us tell you that this FIR was registered on June 11, 2006 because earlier Mika had allegedly kissed Rakhi at her birthday party at a restaurant here. After this incident, sections 354 (molestation) and 323 (assault) of the IPC were imposed on Mika Singh. After this there was a lot of commotion. Many pictures and videos of this party also went viral.

After which, in April this year, Mika approached the High Court appealing to cancel the FIR and charge sheet. The high court took cognizance of Rakhi’s affidavit, which stated that she and Mika had “resolved all differences in good faith and realized that the entire dispute arose out of their misunderstanding”. After this, the charge sheet was dismissed by the High Court.
