Orders to sensitize farmers at the police station level

Special DGP Shukla said- All CP-SSPs of the state have been instructed to reach out to farmers, citizens and various stakeholders to make them aware of the ill effects of stubble burning and inform them that it is a violation of law. is also On which legal action can be taken. The police will take help from the farmer leaders of the area

The number of stubble burning in Punjab has reached 30,661. On November 15, 2544 cases of stubble burning were reported. In the last four days, 6 thousand 931 cases of stubble burning have come to light. This figure is much higher than in 2021 and 2022. 1761 cases were reported on 15 November 2021 and 141 cases were reported on 15 November 2022. However, this time the sowing of the paddy crop has been delayed a little. Because many places were flooded.
