The cold is almost over from North India. Although winter is continuing in the hilly states due to heavy snowfall, the temperature is continuously rising. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a period of thunder and heavy rain in central India on February 26 and 27. Apart from this, rain and snowfall will continue for the next seven days in the hill states of North India due to a fresh western disturbance.

The Meteorological Department has said that a new Western Disturbance is going to hit the hill states, which will bring heavy rains. From February 24 to March 1, there will be rain and snow in the western Himalayan regions. Of this, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will experience rain and snowfall on February 26 and 27. Along with this, storms and lightning can also occur. Apart from this, Arunachal Pradesh will also receive rain and thundershowers for the next six to seven days. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura have been warned of light to moderate rain on February 24 and 25.

Also, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha on February 25, Chhattisgarh on February 24 and 25, Telangana on February 25 and 26 and Madhya Maharashtra on February 26 are expected to receive rain. Apart from this, a hail warning has been issued in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand on February 26 and 27 and in Chhattisgarh on February 26. There will be no major change in the minimum temperature over the states of North-West India and Central India in the next 24 hours. However, the minimum temperature may increase by two to three degrees Celsius after this.

Talking about the weather in the last 24 hours, there have been hailstorms in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. While light to moderate rain has been recorded in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, it also snowed. Along with this, rain has also been recorded in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
