New Delhi Central government on Sunday Mahadev (Mahadev) Ordered to block 22 illegal betting apps and websites including Book and ReddyAnnaPristoPro. The move by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology follows an investigation and raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against illegal betting app syndicates. In its investigation, the ED had declared the operation of these apps illegal.

Currently the owner of Mahadev Book App Ed (Ed) is in the custody of He has been arrested under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar has alleged that the Chhattisgarh government has not sent any request to the central government to block these platforms despite having the authority to do so.

Chhattisgarh government had the right to close

He said that Chhattisgarh Govt (Chhattisgarh Govt) had full authority to recommend closure of the website-app under Section 69A of the IT Act. However, they have not done so, nor has any such request been made by the state government, even though the government has been investigating it for the past one and a half years. Surprising claim of ED

Referring to its investigation into the Mahadev betting app, the ED had on Friday said that Rs 5.39 crore was sent from Dubai for Chhattisgarh elections. The ED said that accused Asim Das, who was arrested during the raid, has revealed that the promoter of the Mahadev betting app had sent crores of rupees to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from Dubai. Along with this, money has also been sent for the expenses of the Congress party in the Chhattisgarh elections.

ED claims- CM Baghel received Rs 508 crore

Referring to the ED investigation, he said that the promoters of the Mahadev app have paid around Rs 508 crore to CM Bhupesh Baghel so far. ED has also arrested Bhim Yadav, a constable of Chhattisgarh Police in this case. Bhim Yadav has visited Dubai several times in the last three years. Bhim Yadav is the person through whom bribe money used to reach politicians and police officers.
