If primary treatment is not done immediately after being bitten and anti-rabies injection is not given, then the possibility of rabies virus reaching the patient’s blood increases. Dogs that are not vaccinated or that are very aggressive are more likely to spread rabies. Symptoms of rabies also start appearing in the patient.

Dr. Borkar says that if the patient is bitten by a rabies infected dog, then some symptoms start appearing in the patient. The biggest symptom is fear of water. It is also called hydrophobia. The patient will run away from water, drink little or no water. He will get irritated on seeing the water or he will get angry. Will be afraid to touch the water. Apart from this, he will also become aggressive. Will be unnecessarily angry and irritable. At the same time, symptoms like fever, vomiting etc. will also be seen.

Patients come to hospitals after dog rabies but it is not that they start barking. When the rabies virus enters the bloodstream, it causes irritation, difficulty in breathing, muscle spasms, etc., it becomes aggressive, sometimes runs away from the one who is taking care of it , He has water phobia, so his behavior becomes a bit strange. If he has got rabies after biting his neck, mouth or around it, then the virus also attacks the brain of the patient and he screams or cries in a strange way.
