Bureau report : The Sromani Gurdwara Management Committee has issued a big and important order to the Ragi Singhs. If the Ragis do not accept it, action will be taken against them. The committee has instructed that they should not broadcast Kirtan from Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib on their personal channels during duty. The secretary of Sromani Committee has issued this notice in the name of Ragi Singh.

According to the Sromani Committee, Ragi Singh of Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib is increasing the views of his duty time kirtan broadcast from YouTube and web channel on his personal channel. This is violating the copyright rules. The Sromani Committee said that if this happens in the future, Ragi Singh should be ready for strict action. These instructions have been issued following a report by the IT wing of the SGPC.

According to SGPC, Ragi Singh can share the YouTube channel of the committee but cannot put a link on his personal channel. On July 23, 2023, SGPC launched its YouTube channel. When PTC also shared the link on YouTube the next day, after the controversy, they corrected it and closed it. The committee has also submitted an application to the Central Information Ministry for the SGPC is coming up with its own TV satellite channel soon. It will take time for the channel to start, that’s why after the appeal of Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Giani Raghbir Singh, PTC has decided to continue the administration from Sri Darbar Sahib until SGPC’s new satellite channel is started.

When the Gurdwara Amendment Bill 2023 was presented and passed in the Vidhan Sabha on June 20, the Punjab government passed it. However, the governor has not approved it so far. But after the introduction of this bill, SGPC immediately announced to start its YouTube channel. According to the Gurdwara Amendment Bill 2023, the right to broadcast Gurbani from within Sri Darbar Sahib was given to all channels.
