GATE 2023 Topper Suban Mishra: The result of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 was released on March 16 by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.

Along with the result, the list of toppers of this year was also released. According to the released list, Subhan Kumar Mishra has secured the first position in the civil engineering stream with 83.11 marks. He has become the all India topper of GATE 2023. Let us tell you that in the year 2020, he quit his well-paying corporate job in Ola Cabs and focused his attention on this exam preparation.

If you don’t have time to spend money, it’s all worthless
Subban, who graduated from IIT Kanpur, was offered a job by Ola Cabs in 2016 through campus placement. “When I was graduating, I wanted to explore the corporate world and see if I could fit in,” explains Suban. In my four years of work experience, I realized that if you are not creating balance in your life then it doesn’t matter how. You earn a lot. If you are earning a lot but you don’t have time to spend it, then everything is useless. That’s why in the year 2020 I decided to quit my job and prepare for this exam.

Topper in third attempt
Subban gave his first attempt at GATE 2020, in which he secured an All India 2300 rank. After this in the year 2022 he took the exam again and improved his rank. This time he got a rank of 801, but was dissatisfied with his performance. So this year he made his third attempt and he became this year’s GATE topper. Suban Kumar Mishra, who hails from the Alwar region of Rajasthan, prepared for the exam through both online and traditional classroom methods.

Subban stated in an interview that he did not immediately decide to quit his job and go back to school. He wasn’t sure if he should quit his job or climb the corporate ladder. However, he finally decided to give his first attempt at the GATE exam in 2020 and became the All India topper by securing AIR 1 in his third attempt this year.
