Jalandhar By-Election: Before the by-election, Malwinder Singh Kang appealed to the people of Jalandhar and said, “Vote Aam Aadmi Party for good administration and to save the farmers, youth and industries of Punjab.” Kang slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress for patronizing the corrupt and criminals, saying the Mann government was providing corruption-free and transparent governance.

Addressing a press conference along with Gurdaspur District President and Planning Board Chairman Jagrup Singh Sekhwan, AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang said that before 2022, Punjab was ruled by family-oriented politicians, corrupt and mafia people. All these were just looting the capital of Punjab and ruining the farmers and youth of the state. The people of Punjab chose change by issuing a heavy fatwa to teach them all a lesson and punish their anti-people actions. He said that now people are getting good facilities without any discrimination.

Kang added that the Mann government provided 29,000 jobs in just one year and that too without any bias or recommendations. Sand mafia, mining mafia, transport mafia and corruption have been eradicated and 10,000 acres of illegal encroachments have been freed. All these steps will benefit the common people of Punjab and the money will now go to the treasury of Punjab. The AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously taking pro-farmer steps to save the agriculture sector and farmers. MSP, direct sowing of paddy, initiatives taken to save Punjab’s air, water and soil are evidence of the seriousness of the Mann government towards this cause.

Reacting to BJP leader Anurag Thakur’s comment, Kang said that opposition parties and their leaders have no real issue and only know how to play politics of hate. He said that whenever an AAP MLA or minister was accused of corruption, our government took transparent and strict action against those involved, but the BJP welcomed the corrupt and criminals with open arms. We sacked our ministers too but BJP still hasn’t sacked Mishra Teni whose son killed farmers in broad daylight. Kang reminded the BJP leader that the people of Punjab have not forgotten the agrarian laws or the farmers’ movement.

Kang asks Anurag Thakur on what moral ground he is questioning AAP when BJP gives MLA ticket to family of rapist and murderer Kuldeep Sengar, frees Bilquis Bano rapists, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh made him the president of the wrestling association and protected him in every black work. He mentioned all the corrupt leaders of various states like Mukul Roy, Hemant Biswa, Shivraj Chauhan who left Congress and joined BJP to avoid CBI and ED action.

Kang warned the BJP that the politics of hate will never succeed in Punjab, adding that the people of Punjab pray for the ‘good of Sarbat’. So talk about the real issues why Modi never talks about demonetisation, GST and his rich friends. Why BJP central government is not releasing RDF (Rural Development Fund) and GST of Punjab.
