Jalandhar, February 9: Kake Shah, famous comedian from Jalandhar in Punjab, has reportedly fled allegedly after committing a travel fraud.

Aggrieved parties on Thursday reached the Police Commissioner’s office and staged a protest alleging that Kake Shah had fled abroad after taking money from them on the pretext of sending them abroad.

Navneet Anand a local resident, alleged that comedian Kake Shah had promised to send him abroad and demanded Rs 10 lakh for the same. They gave him Rs 6 lakh and an amount of Rs 4 lakh had to be given after visa. However, he took money from him, but never got his visa.

Victim Navneet Anand accused the police of shielding the comedian. He said after repeated complaints, the police finally registered a complaint after five months. However, he was not arrested. Now, he had fled abroad.

The victim alleged that Kake Shah threatened him many times that his connections were at higher level and that no one could cause him any harm. “I urge the police commissioner to arrest Kake Shah and help me getting the money back,” he added.

He said Kake Shah’s brother’s name was also got registered in the FIR, but it was removed due to political pressure.
