Punjab Agriculture Minister formed seven flying squad teams

Punjab Agriculture Minister: The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of Punjab has formed seven teams of flying squads to ensure the supply of quality seeds, fertilizers and pesticides to the farmers of the state.

Giving information in this regard, Punjab Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian said that these teams will visit the manufacturing units and shops of seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. Along with this, these teams will regularly check the quality of these products and take samples and also keep an eye on the prices of the said products sold to the farmers.

He further informed that these flying squad teams formed under the leadership of Joint Directors of the Department and Chief Agriculture Officers will keep a close watch on the sale of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers for the benefit of the farmers as well as the demand and supply of agricultural products to the farmers. will also take care of It may be mentioned that a team of flying squad has been formed for three to four districts.

The Agriculture Minister said that while buying any agricultural produce, the farmers must get the bill from the seller and make sure to pay only the amount shown on the bills. He clearly said that if the bill is not given by the vendors, then the farmer should complain to the concerned agriculture officer of the district and strict action will be taken in this regard.

Gurmeet Singh Khudian reiterated that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is fully committed to the welfare of farmers and no one will be allowed to exploit the grain donor by selling artificial seeds, pesticides or fertilisers.
