The spokesperson also clarified that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has issued instructions to the officers/employees to ensure that honest electricity consumers do not face any kind of hardship.

The spokesperson said that police officers along with PSPCL enforcement teams of Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Patiala circles have checked the houses of 1191 consumers during the raid and 110 consumers have been deprived of electricity in the last two days. A fine of Rs 40.04 lakh has been imposed for theft and unauthorized use of electricity.

The spokesperson of PSPCL revealed that various enforcement teams of Bathinda Circle checked the electricity connections of 169 consumers’ premises in Jhok, Hari Har, Sri Muktsar Sahib (City) and fined 8.40 lakh rupees to 20 consumers. have done The spokesperson also said that during the checking of electricity theft, the enforcement teams of Ludhiana circle checked the premises of 131 consumers of Janata Nagar Unit No. 3, Ludhiana Sub-division and fined 8.28 lakh rupees to 8 consumers for electricity theft and other violations. fined The enforcement teams of Patiala Circle checked the houses of 510 consumers in Dhuri (Rural), Malerkotla (City 2), Sahna, Rangian, Tapa 1 Tapa 2, Dhuanwala 2 Tech 1 Mohali sub division and imposed a fine of Rs 9.11 lakh for electricity theft and other violations. done

The spokesperson also said that the enforcement teams of Jalandhar circle have checked the premises of 126 consumers in Shahkot and Malsian and fined 9.47 lakh rupees to 21 consumers for electricity theft and other violations. While the enforcement teams of Amritsar Circle raided the houses of 255 consumers in Islamabad and Model Town Batala Sub Division and fined 13 consumers Rs 4.78 lakh.
