Prisoners detained in Dibrugarh jail will meet their families

The families of the comrades who were sent to Dibrugarh after the NSA was brought in during the financial campaign against Waris Punjab chief Amritpal Singh will meet them after about a month. Recently, the delegation of lawyers sent by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to Dibrugarh Assam has also taken permission from the District Magistrate of Amritsar.

Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka is leading the legal team formed by Harjinder Singh Dhami from the Shiromani Committee to pursue the cases of the youth imprisoned in Dibrugarh Jail. Advocate Sialka said that on April 10, the arrested youth was found in Dibrugarh jail. After their return on April 12, an application was made before the District Magistrate to meet the families. Thanks to the efforts of the Shiromani Committee, their relatives have now been allowed to meet.

Advocate Sialka said that among the youth detained in Dibrugarh are Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Varinder Singh Johal, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Harjit Singh Jallupur Khaira, Bhagwant Singh Bajeke, Daljit Singh Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurinderpal Singh Aujla and Papalpreet Singh.

The family can only meet on Thursday
According to the rules, the prisoners lodged in Dibrugarh Jail can be visited only on Thursday. For which it has been planned to take it to Assam on April 19. Bus will be arranged for this. The families of the youth have been requested to contact the Shiromani Committee’s head office in Amritsar by April 18.
