Prakash Singh Badal: Five-time Chief Minister of Punjab and patron of Shiromani Akali Dal, Parkash Singh Badal, passed away at a private hospital in Mohali on Tuesday evening. Let it be known that Parkash Singh Badal, the five-time chief minister of Punjab and patron of Shiromani Akali Dal, died on Tuesday evening in a private hospital in Mohali, who was suffering from asthma. He was 95 years old. Badal is survived by his son and Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and his MP daughter Praneet Kaur.

A media bulletin from Fortis Hospital said that Parkash Singh Badal was admitted to the hospital on April 16 after complaining of difficulty in breathing due to bronchial asthma. He was admitted to ICU on April 18 due to worsening of his respiratory condition. Along with treatment, he is being given NIV and HFNC support. He was being treated by cardiology and pulmonology specialists and a critical care team under the supervision of Digambar Behera. A statement from the hospital said that despite adequate medical arrangements, Parkash Singh Badal’s breathing stopped.
