Phillaur police of Jalandhar in Punjab have arrested a gangster. The gangster has been identified as Manpreet Singh alias Vicky Valatia, a resident of village Patti Badal. Police have recovered a pistol, a magazine, 2 live cartridges and a Scorpio vehicle from Vicky Valatia. It is being told that the arrested Vicky Valatia is the accomplice of the gangster Teja who was killed in the police encounter yesterday.
Manpreet alias Walatia had robbed a car in Phagwara along with gangsters and shot and killed the constable. The Scorpio vehicle recovered by the police is the same in which the fourth gangster was taken during the encounter with the Valatia police. who was later arrested in Mohali.
Police officials said that the gangsters who carried out the incident in Phagwara lived near Vicky Valatia. He used to help them. After the incident, he used to make all the arrangements for the stay and food of the gangsters. However, only cases of beating and fighting are registered against Vicky Valatia.

According to information, Manpreet alias Vicky Valatia was a Kabaddi player. But he became addicted to drugs. This drug turned him from a kabaddi player to a gangster. He started fighting with people. Police officials said that Walatia comes from a good family but his wrong association has turned him into a criminal. Currently, Valatia is under the arrest of the police. The police are continuously interrogating him to get information about other gangsters.
