Police arrested 6 accused along with weapons

In Gurdaspur, the police have arrested 6 people, including a woman, with illegal weapons. Many cases have already been registered against them. The police recovered 9 pistols, 10 magazines and 35 cartridges from the accused.

According to the information, a high-tech checkpoint was installed near the border town of Dinanagar. On this, the police stopped a vehicle for checking. Kamaljit Singh, Rupinder Singh and woman Pema Doma were in the vehicle. These people were returning after celebrating Pema Doma's birthday. When they were searched, two pistols, two cartridges, one and a half grams of heroin and drug money worth Rs. 15000 were recovered.

The accused said that they had bought these pistols from a person from Maharashtra with the help of Mani Singh alias Mau, a resident of Batala. The police also arrested Mau and his two accomplices Mehtab Singh and Balraj Singh. 7 pistols, 10 magazines and 33 cartridges were recovered from them.
