Mumbai : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off two new Vande Bharat trains from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in south Mumbai and a new educational institution for the Dawoodi Bohra community in Marol. Institute and also flagged off the Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis were present on this occasion and many other central ministers were also present.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his speech that for the first time 2 Vande Bharat trains were started. They will connect financial centers like Mumbai and Pune with our centers of devotion. This will benefit college going and office going people, farmers and devotees. He said that today a total of 108 districts across the country are connected by Vande Bharat train. I am happy that the life of Mumbaikars will become easier today as the elevated road corridor has also been inaugurated. The elevated corridor will facilitate east-west connectivity in suburban Mumbai. Kurar underpass is also important and vital for connectivity. The Vande Bharat train is a great picture of today’s modern India. It is a reflection of India’s speed and scale. You can see the speed with which the country is launching Vande Bharat. 10 trains have been started.

The train will also promote religious tourism in Maharashtra

Inaugurating Kurar Underpass and SCLR Bridge in Malad, PM Modi unveiled plaques to mark the inauguration of Kurar Underpass and SCLR Bridge in Malad. Both these road projects have been taken up by MMRDA. This is the first time that two Vande Bharat Express trains have been inaugurated on the same day. The convenience of passengers will increase by train. The train will also promote religious tourism in Maharashtra. Further, PM Modi said that to improve the standard of living of the people, the public transport system has to be improved rapidly and the government is working on a war footing to make this possible. Vande Bharat trains are a reflection of the speed and scale of India.
