Pan Punjab placement drive: According to the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, to provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth of the state, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora has prepared the officials of the department to start the placement campaign across Punjab from next month. Instructions have been given.

Presiding over a meeting with officials of the department at the PEDA Complex here, Aman Arora asked the officials to coordinate with local industries to find out about their employment needs. He emphasized that instead of increasing the number of registrations, the officials of the department should focus on converting the youth already registered with the department into employable man-power.

Cabinet Minister Aman Arora asked officials to popularize the Placement Cell and District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise (DBEE) among the youth and encourage them to get registered at these centers so that the aspiring youth can to be informed about the new employment opportunities available in various fields. He directed that complete information about skilled manpower should be available on the job portal.

Meanwhile, Employment Generation Minister Aman Arora along with Principal Secretary Jaspreet Talwar and Director Deepti Uppal interacted with the winners of the “Startup Challenge” competitions conducted at SAS Nagar, Bathinda, Ludhiana and Patiala in the past so that they To get information about the challenges faced and their expectations from the government. The Cabinet Minister assured them of all possible support.

Aman Arora also reviewed the role of incubators in providing proper guidance to upcoming startups. In this meeting Deepinder Dhillon, Joint Director of Startup Punjab, Achint Kaur, Executive of Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CII), Somveer Singh, CEO of Innovation Mission Punjab, Priyanka, Assistant Director of Assocham, Shibananda, Director of Munjal BCU Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ludhiana were present.
