Petrol and diesel in BJP-ruled states more expensive than Punjab: Congress

[ad_1]

Central Government stopped RDF and GST of Punjab: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the BJP has no moral basis to question the Punjab government over the VAT hike on petrol and diesel. He said that the central government of BJP is withholding part of Punjab’s Rural Development Fund (RDF), National Health Mission Fund and GST which is badly affecting the economy of the state.

AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that before raising any question on the Punjab government, the BJP should answer why it is discriminating against Punjab. Why Modi government is trying to weaken the state economically.

Kang questioned the BJP that when Narendra Modi was elected Prime Minister in 2014, crude oil prices were very high in the international market. Today it has halved, but petrol and diesel prices in India have doubled over the years. Can BJP explain the maths behind price hikes in India?

Kang said that all the leaders of Punjab should question the BJP about Rural Development Fund, National Health Mission Fund and GST of Punjab, that all this money belongs to Punjab and should be used for the development of the state, but the Central Govt. It is not releasing funds. But unfortunately leaders like Sukhbir Singh Badal are seen supporting BJP.

Malwinder Singh Kang further said that petrol and diesel in Punjab is cheaper than Haryana and Madhya Pradesh, both states are ruled by BJP and Congress in Rajasthan. He finally said that the Punjab government of AAP is working diligently for the welfare of the state and our agenda is to provide better facilities to the people of Punjab.
