People are facing daily problems in all those patwar circles of Punjab government, where the patwaris were given extra charge. Revenue Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the retired and newly recruited employees are handling the work and the problems of the people will be resolved soon. The state government has not been able to make comprehensive arrangements for the smooth running of this work. Along with this, there does not seem to be any agreement between the Punjab government and the Patwaris.
Minister Jimpa asked for records from all Deputy Commissioners
Finance Minister Brahma Shankar Jimpa has today sought records from all the Deputy Commissioners of the state to know the status of Patwar Circles. The minister has also sought a report on the problems people are currently facing in the Patwar circles where the Patwaris have left the charge. Minister Gimpa may also hold a meeting with the officials in this regard today.
The solution to the problem is not time bound
The Punjab Government has not fixed any time limit for solving the problems faced by the people in carrying out land/property related works in Punjab. Retired employees are unable to work harder and faster and new recruits are put on duty before their training is complete and are still learning the entire system. In such a situation, it has not been clarified by the Punjab government when this problem will be solved.
