Mitchell Starc's base price was Rs 2 crore, Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders bid heavily for him. Initially, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians also bid for Mitchell Starc, but when they went over budget, these two teams backed out.
Surprisingly, Mitchell Starc has played only two seasons in the IPL, the last time he played in the IPL was in the year 2015. After this Mitchell Starc never played IPL and now when he announced his comeback after the World Cup he broke all the records.
