‘Freedom of institutions from Badal family is essential’
Former Jathedar Mr. Akal Takht said that the Badal family has been betraying the Khalsa Panth since 1978 and they have kept the Shiromani Gurdwara Prambadhak Committee as their fiefdom, it needs to be freed. He said that the Badal family has not fully fulfilled the Azamat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib built by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib. Jathedars have been kept as slaves, their respect has been lost. Bhai Ranjit said that this happened because the appointment of Jathedars is not done according to panthic customs, but the mill workers of Sukhbir Singh Badal’s house. He said that the Sangat offers money in Golak with great devotion but the Badal family has wasted crores of rupees to give an apology to Soudha Sadh without asking and justifying him. Former Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh alleged that the property worth crores of SGPC was squandered by the Badal family and the Akali Bagh of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Sri Guru Gobind Singh were abandoned. He said that the face of Guru ki Golak Garib can be meaningful only when we do our duty during the Shiromani Committee elections and the Sromani Akali Dal and SGPC are freed from the Badal family.
