Jharkhand News: After the death of four people on Tuesday in an elephant attack in Itki, people here are in panic. This can be gauged from the fact that people gathered at the crematorium for the last rites of Punai Oraon and Goyanda Oraon, who were killed in Chachgura on Wednesday. Everyone was busy preparing for the funeral, that the rumor of the arrival of the elephant again spread. On hearing this, the villagers ran away leaving the dead bodies. After a long time, when the villagers were convinced that the elephant was not around, then in the midst of panic all again reached the cremation ground and performed the last rites of the dead.

According to the villagers, they kept awake the whole night. The fear of coming of elephants kept troubling him. It may be known that on Tuesday, an elephant separated from the herd had killed four villagers including a woman. Here, on receiving information about the incident, on Wednesday, former minister brothers Tirkey met the relatives of the deceased and assured all possible help.

Please tell that after crushing Punai, the elephant kept sitting near his dead body. During this, the villagers and forest department officials tried to drive away the elephant from there. Due to which the elephant started shouting in anger and ran towards the crowd. During this, the elephant wrapped a villager Goyanda Oraon in its trunk and threw it away, due to which he was seriously injured. The villagers hurriedly started taking him to the fleet for treatment, but he died on the way. There is panic among the villagers after this incident. The people of the village are keeping watch of the village by staying awake all night. Here, in order to prevent the crowd thronging to see the elephant and tampering with it, section-144 was also imposed in Itki area by the subdivisional administration.
