The opposition alliance INDIA has called a virtual meeting today i.e. January 13. In this, there can be a discussion on the strategy of distribution of seats and the formation of the coordinator of the alliance. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, Shiv Sena (UTB) Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are also expected to attend the meeting.

Ahead of the meeting, the Trinamool Congress has dealt a blow to the alliance. Trinamool chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will not attend the meeting. Mamata has already distanced herself from the Congress on the seat-sharing issue. She is adamant about giving 2 seats to Congress in Bengal. According to sources, Mamata Banerjee is also not happy with the demand to make Nitish Kumar the coordinator of the alliance.
