Ludhiana: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has arrived at Agriculture University Ludhiana today during Kisan Mela. Today, when they came to the fair, they saw that most of the farmers were walking around with sacks of seeds on their shoulders. Most of them were young farmers. It is a pleasure to see that today the youth of Punjab has started to take the initiative of the farmers. Today farming methods have changed.

Mann said that this is the machinery age, so now young farmers are being made a part of fairs so that young farmers can understand the changing farming methods with time. Mann said that it is a matter of happiness that 1 lakh 9 thousand farmers have registered in the fair. The fair has full arrangements of farmers’ food and music. Wherever Punjabis go, they take both food and song with them.

Maan said that the subject of agriculture is very close to his heart. Taking the central government hard, Mann said that all the rules that the government has issued so far are anti-farmer. The central government is constantly trying to stop the development of Punjab by imposing new taxes. Now the government has imposed a cess of 1200 rupees per ton. Talks are going on with the Center to cancel it.

Mann encouraged people to plant more basmati this time. He said that Punjab is the largest source of Basmati in India. Maan said that farmers should sow basmati in their fields. Government will produce Basmati. There are 10 such sprays that are banned overseas. Therefore, those sprays have also been banned in Punjab so that farmers’ Basmati is not rejected abroad. Praising the work of his government, Mann said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has fulfilled the promises made to the people.

Mann said that the government’s job is not to loot but to make people’s lives better. Speaking about the issue of patwaris, Mann said that the patwaris started a pen-cutting strike in favor of the two arrested corrupt patwaris. Maan said that the government said that the pen drop strike but later the government will decide whether to hand over the pen or not. We have many educated unemployed who are ready to pick up your pens. People of Punjab will not be allowed to suffer.

Mann said that the representatives of the central government are saying that the stubble should not be burnt. The state government has told them that the central government will give 1000 rupees and the state government will give 1500 rupees per acre to the farmer. Merely motivating the farmers will do nothing, the work that needs to be done with money will be done with money.

The government will provide full compensation to the flood affected farmers. Mann said that they do not have any kind of mafia. Farmers will get money even if there is loss of animals. The government will always work for the interests of the farmers of the state.
