Vegetable Hike increased: Since the beginning of July, the prices of major vegetables have disrupted the kitchen budget of the common man, where the taste of vegetables has deteriorated due to the increase in the price of tomatoes, now other vegetables are also touching the sky. Vegetable prices are skyrocketing in the retail market, with tomato reaching Rs 120, while ginger has taken a huge leap and is selling at Rs 200 per kg, while coriander is also selling at Rs 100 per kg.

The prices of cauliflower, okra and capsicum also increased

Supply from Punjab has stopped due to rain. Cabbage, okra and capsicum prices have also seen a huge jump. Not only that. Coriander and green chillies, which were usually available free or at a very low cost, are becoming increasingly inaccessible.

In the last few days, the price of cauliflower has increased from Rs 40 per kg in early May to Rs 60 per kg. Similarly, the price of cabbage has increased from Rs 30-40 per kg to Rs 60 per kg, the price of potato and onion has also increased from Rs 20 per kg in early May to Rs 30 per kg in July.

People reduced the purchase of tomatoes

Tomato is still selling at Rs 100-120 per kg in Delhi. Due to the fury of inflation, people have reduced the purchase of tomatoes, due to which the shopkeepers are also suffering losses. According to the sellers sitting in Delhi’s Okhla Mandi, these prices of tomatoes will remain the same for the next one-two months.

The state of vegetables in other cities

In the vegetable market of Haryana’s Kurukshetra, the prices of vegetables are touching the sky, due to which people are getting worried. People say that they do not feel like buying vegetables and these vegetables are becoming beyond the reach of the common man. In Kurukshetra, tomatoes are fetching Rs 100 to Rs 120, while cabbage is selling up to Rs 100. Okra has reached 60 per kg.

Even in South India, vegetables are increasing the hardships of the people. Experts believe that till the new crop arrives, there is little chance of a reduction in prices.
