Keonjhar (Odisha). 69 shops were gutted in a fire in a market in Keonjhar city of Odisha. An official gave this information on Tuesday. Tehsildar of Keonjhar Ashish Mohapatra said that on Monday evening, six fire tenders were engaged in extinguishing the fire.

There was no report of any casualty in the incident, but the fire brigade personnel faced difficulties in dousing the fire due to inadequate water supply, he said.
He said that the fire was finally doused after 7-8 hours of struggle. The process of assessing the damage is on, he said. Keonjhar Sub-Collector Ramchandra Kisku said that the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but it is feared that the fire may have started due to a short circuit.
