The posts which have been abolished are the posts related to all 13 departments and most of these posts had become impractical. Principal Clerk and Forward Project Officer, Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer for Son Command Development Agency of Water Resources Department, Chief Engineer, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Monitoring Investigation Bureau, Circle Inspector and Supervision Officer in Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Under Planning and Development Department The posts of Planning Officer, Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes of Commercial Taxes Department, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Special Commissioner, Grade A Nurse of Health Department have also been abolished. Now these posts will not be appointed by the Bihar government. As such, appointments to these posts were not being made for a long time. The work was being done on contract basis only. According to the officials of the Uniform Administration Department, such a decision has been taken to make the functioning and internal post of the office practical.
