Zero Tolerance during Examinations: Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT) is adopting strict anti-copying policies in examinations to ensure rooting out of the trend of cheating during examinations.

Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that as per the instructions of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab State Technical Education and Industrial Training Board has made all examination centers of polytechnics and pharmacy colleges government polytechnics and government IT. It has been decided to completely eliminate copying in the examination by converting it to Eyes.

Now it has become mandatory to conduct the exams under CCTV surveillance as the board has introduced CCTV in government polytechnics and government ITIs. A huge amount has been spent to set up. Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, all the 220 polytechnics and pharmacy colleges have been mapped with government institutions, so that no student faces any difficulty in reaching their examination centre.

Bains told that CCTV. The monitoring board has installed CCTV in 26 government polytechnics and 115 government ITIs. About 3 crore rupees have been spent for installation. CCTV cameras have also been installed in the newly constructed centers of the Higher Education Department and Punjabi University campus.

Harjot Singh Bains said that for the first time the board has set up a control room in the office of the board to monitor the CCTV cameras installed in all the examination centers. A roster of officials for monitoring the examination centers has also been prepared in the control room. This has brought complete transparency in the examinations.

The Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab State Board of Technical and Industrial Training and the Board of Technical Education are continuously working to improve the quality of technical education in the state of Punjab and achieve the objectives of conducting the examinations of Polytechnic Pharmacy Diploma courses with fairness and transparency. has been In previous examinations which were earlier conducted in private institutes, there were several complaints of cheating/malpractice by students, which was not only harming the bright and hardworking students but also the entire technical education system. Reputation was also tarnished. That is why these reforms have been implemented.

The Board of Technical Education, while implementing these examination reforms, has for the first time set up examination centers in higher education institutions and Punjabi University campuses and has posted officials from the Department of Technical Education, Medical Education and Higher Education as invigilators in the examination centers. During these examinations, random checking of examination centers is also being done by sending flying squad teams of officials of Technical Education Department and Technical Education Board. Apart from this, the district administration officials have also been entrusted with the responsibility of checking the examination centers in their districts.

The minister said that 14 flying squad teams of principals have been formed to inspect the district war centers. 13 teams of DTE/Board have been constituted to inspect District War Centers. The officials of the Deputy Commissioner’s office were also requested to check the centers in their respective districts.

The Cabinet Minister said that apart from this, 52 faculty members of the Department of Technical Education, Medical Education and Higher Education have been posted as invigilators at various examination centres, adding that the hardworking students are appreciating the efforts of the government and hope Yes, this will continue in the future as well.
