According to Dr. Sohini Sengupta, the treatment of TB takes a long time. Some patients stop their treatment midway after getting partial relief. In this case, the TB bacteria not only become active again, but the TB infection starts multiplying more rapidly. In such a situation, the risk of drug resistance also remains. He told that with the help of new tests and tools, we can now identify TB early and better treatment will be possible. Four initial symptoms of tuberculosis
According to Dr. Ashok Ratan, TB can affect any part of the body, but usually only pulmonary TB disease is seen. Pulmonary TB disease spreads rapidly in the respiratory tract, due to which the patient has a strong cough. Its other symptoms include mild fever, night sweats and weight loss. If a patient is showing all these symptoms for two consecutive weeks, then it is possible that he is suffering from pulmonary TB. Such a patient should start his treatment in time on the advice of his doctor.

AI software detects TB hot spots
Dr. Ashok Ratan said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) software has been developed recently to detect TB hot spots in the lungs through digital chest X-ray. With the help of this software, people can easily get information related to tuberculosis and its treatment. He told that in the coming times, AI software and BD Max MDR TB test new technology will be able to detect TB cases on a large scale.
