In 1939, three brothers Vasilopoulos, Gerasimos, Charalambos and George, bought from one of their distant uncles ( Panagopoulos ), which they turned into a fine grocery store under the name Brothers Vassilopoulos. In 1950 they founded the historic store at 19 Stadiou Street. The first, on Voulis Street, operated until 1966.
