For the first time in the last 11 years, the temperature is being recorded close to 9-10 degrees for a long time in Punjab. On Wednesday, there was sunshine at some places. Yellow alert has been issued in 12 districts. Which includes Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Moga, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Barnala, Mansa, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala. Visibility here can range from 50 to 100 meters.

The cold has forced people to shiver in Punjab. The weather is not opening up completely because of the dry cold. Due to the absence of sun, there is a heat lock-like situation at night. This is the reason why the night temperature which used to reach zero or 1 degree in winter is now around 5 degrees.

In this situation, the people of Punjab are facing cold weather during the day. In the last 11 years, the sun has not risen for such a long time. In 2013, the sun did not shine for 14 days and the maximum day temperature was recorded around 9 degrees. This time the situation is getting worse.
